The Legacy Tree Campaign offers donors the opportunity to plant a tree in Union Cemetery in memory of a loved one.
Your tax deductible gift to the Union Cemetery Historical Society will help fund the planting of your young tree, care and maintenance for two years, a replacement guarantee should it become necessary, and a permanent stone or anodized aluminum marker identifying both donor and dedicatee inscribed as you wish. You will have a choice of location within the grounds.
Planting and maintenance will be done professionally through the Heartland Tree Alliance and Bridging The Gap, two excellent local non-profit organizations. All gift levels include donations to the UCHS and the Legacy Tree Preservation Fund.
This fund will provide for any maintenance and care that may be needed, including possible replacement, beyond the basic guarantee of two years for all of the newly planted Legacy Trees.
You are welcome to make tax deductible donations to support and preserve these new trees as they grow and thrive in the forest within our grounds. An online donation form is available below.
